COLDSKY.CN – Alibaba Sports’ new smart gym brand Cheng Shi Yue Dong (橙狮悦动, literally “Orange Lion and Joyful Move,” Lion Move for sort) launched the first sports center in a digitally renovated facility in Jianggan District of Hangzhou City on July 4.

The center of 14,000 square meters, officially completed in 2017, has a 50-meter Olympic-size swimming pool, a 2,400-square-meter gym and table tennis hall, a standard and two half basketball courts, four badminton courts, and an open-air 5-a-side football pitch and fitness track on the top.

Face recognition has been fully integrated in access to the swimming pool and use of many equipment. The Lion Move, a lightweight program on the popular app Alipay, allows user to complete a series of operations, such as online booking, payment, game planning, event registration and fees splitting, all through the new digital sports services.

Over 2,700 gyms in 200 cities have enabled the Lion Move service. Meanwhile, Alibaba Sports plans to open 10 Lion Move-branded stadiums this year in several provinces.

Alibaba Sports offers the SaaS solution for stadiums to combine service, management and marketing. The e-commerce giant’s Spring Thunder campaign to help SMEs hit by the coronavirus pandemic includes service worth 100 million yuan to reach some 20,000 stadiums, in the form of free SaaS system for the first year and free maintenance later.
