COLDSKY.CN – TRUNK(主线科技), self-driving truck solution provider, has launched a joint venture with For U Trucking (福佑卡车) to tap into the freight transportation sector.
TRUNK, established in 2017, has applied its autonomous vehicles at Level 4 (High Driving Automation) for regular operations in ports in Tianjin, Ningbo-Zhoushan and Haixing of China Merchants.
The company says its solutions can be applied in closed, semi-closed, and open spaces, such as industrial parks, scenic areas, airports, and neighbourhoods, with the vehicles capable of automatically running at least 30 km/h.
TRUNK trucks are equipped with a variety of sensors to obtain the environmental data around the vehicle and ensure stable and accurate self-driving.
For U Trucking, launched in 2015, has expanded the business to reach all regions in China and offered services to 100,000 enterprise customers through the networking with 700,000 truck drivers.
The company’s key service is automatic pricing, truck allocation and smart service to facilitate the matching of demand and supply. All orders are automatically assigned to the proper drivers so as to cut cost and improve driver’s income. However, Chen Guanling, technology patterner of For U Trucking, said self-driving trucks can help address problems such as drowsy-driving.
