The second generation of electric hydrofoil surfboard Waydoo Flyer will hit the market in the first season next year, with higher performance and lower price expected, according to a report by Shi Yaqiong for 36kr.com.
Waydoo Flyer allows riders to surf the water without wind or waves as easily as possible. The efoil board weighs 35KG and can run up to 40 kilometers per hour, with a sailing range of 75 minutes after fully charged. Players can choose from five speed choices and use the body balance to control the move on water.
Waydoo Flyer is currently priced at $6,495, about half of the world’s premium efoil Fliteboard. In 2019, hundreds of Waydoo Flyer boards were sold through agents in overseas market, said the report.
As many people are opting for electric vehicles, it’s expected watersports equipment will be increasingly powered by more flexible, mobile electric solutions too.
